DJ and record producer Paul Oakenfold has announced his support for Action on Hearing Loss as the charity releases a survey for this week's National Tinnitus Week that reveals one in three people override the 'safe level' warning on their music players despite the risk of damaged hearing.
One in ten people across the UK are affected by tinnitus every day. Oakenfold commented 'I feel passionately about listening to music safely, and urge music lovers to wear ear defenders to gigs and avoid dangerously high volumes on personal music players', going on to advise people to 'protect your ears whilst loving your tunes'.
